We had to suspend our pottery wheel experiences due to the impact of COVID-19. However, we are now pleased that we are taking bookings again. Initially, this is for those folks who have been waiting patiently to be able to use their vouchers. If this is you, please get in touch by email and we'll fix a date for you to come in.

Whether you're looking for a special gift or you'd love to try it yourself, the potter's wheel never fails to make people smile. It is the best fun and is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners.

There's nothing quite as rewarding as creating something from a lump of clay. Our potter's wheel experience is great for those wanting to have a try on the wheel, you are given tuition on the wheel, as well as time on the wheel by yourself. Your items are then left with us to be fired in the kiln.

This is not available every day and must be pre-booked. Please let us know when you'd like to come and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

If you would like to give this as a gift we can also send you out gift vouchers for the wheel experience.

Pottery wheel experiences:

ADULT/TEEN TASTER (Age 13+) 

• A 90 mins introductory taster session on the pottery wheel.
• ​We will show you how to throw basic cylinder forms. 
• The pots (you would like to keep) will be fired and ready for collection 2-3 weeks after class.
• All tuition, clay, glaze and firing costs are included in the price.
• ​Once fired, your pots will be clear glazed or for an additional price you can come back to paint them yourself. 

KIDS TASTER (Age 8-12) 

• A 60 mins introductory taster session on the pottery wheel.
• ​We will show you how to throw basic cylinder forms. 
• The pots (you would like to keep) will be fired and ready for collection 2-3 weeks after class.
• All tuition, clay, glaze and firing costs are included in the price.
• ​Once fired, your pots will be clear glazed or for an additional price you can come back to paint them yourself.
