Kids New Year Art Block - Marine LIfeFridays 3.30pm - 5pm Suitable for kids now in P3 - P7/S1
In this block we will be exploring the world under the waves, through pattern, texture and colour. 13th January - Pastel (setting the scene) Kids will use their imagination to create an under-water world using pastels and ink. 20th January - Clay Fish (part 1) Kids will design and create three fish out of clay. (2 week project). 27th January - Clay Fish (part 2) Kids will carve and paint their 'greenware' clay fish ready for firing and mounting. We're hoping to arrange a visit to Deep Sea World as part of this block but details will be confirmed in the New Year. 3rd February - Mark Making - creating pattern Using found and foraged objects kids will make marks on card to replicate fish scales and patterns. This will be cut out and mounted on card. 10th February - T-shirt printing Kids will decorate their own t-shirt with an underwater theme. |
