Inky Art - Line drawing and watercolour classes
for Teens and Adults 4 week block starts Tuesday 27th September 25th October (except 18/10/22) 6.30- 8.30pm We are delighted to be welcoming Charlie Flinders to the studio who will be leading an exciting Inky 4 week course. Aimed at beginners starting out on their creative journey (Teens who have selected Art for 3rd year/ Nat 5's and Adults) through to intermediate level artists, wishing to try a new technique. Charlie will teach you the process of coupling loose pen drawings with selective watercolour to achieve a dynamic and cool piece of art. On the course you will learn how to take a scene and simplify it, picking out the key details and leaving other parts to the imagination of the viewer. You will learn how to draw and simplify elements of a scene and then add just the right amount of colour to achieve a sophisticated piece of art in a small amount of time. "We'll work through a different theme at each workshop where we'll develop and practise techniques by completing several smaller pieces of work which will give you the confidence to tackle larger pieces going forward" Materials: Loose sheets of paper will be provided as well as access to pencils and brushes. However you will need the following: Watercolours: Basic colours: Ultramarine, Cerulean, Yellow Ochre, Payne's Grey, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green, Raw Sienna, Red, Yellow Pens: Fineliner with waterproof ink. (a thin and a thick pen - 0.05/0.1 and a 0.3/0.5.)
