In this mixed media block we are going to be working with clay, bisque fired ceramic and paper.
7th October - Clay Skulls We'll be teaching the technique of 'coiling with clay' to create a skull head, treat box. (This will be over 2 weeks)
14th October - Skull Painting In this session we'll be trimming and tidying up our clay skulls before painting directly on to the unfired clay, known as Greenware. (These will be fired and ready before the 31st October)
28th October - Ceramic Canvas In this session we'll be decorating a large spooky ceramic canvas. We'll be making our own stencils and decorating with acrylics to take home on the same day. 4th November - Skyline Collage We'll be creating a card collage of the skyline around your house, using card, pastels and acrylics. It would be helpful if kids can bring in some images (sketched) of their immediate skyline around where they live.
