Kids Art Block 2025The Art of Charcoal ! Next block starts: Fri 22nd Aug- 12th Sept Fridays 3.30pm - 5pm Suitable for kids now in P3 - P7/S1 22nd August: Making Charcoal We'll be preparing Willow to make our own charcoal. 29th Aug: Charcoal Sketching We are delighted that artist Tansy Lee Moir will be joining us today to show our art class kids how she uses charcoal in her work and encouraging them to start to draw big and bold using this medium. 5th Sept: Plein-air Sketching Weather permitting we'll go outside to sketch with charcoal, using the techniques we have learned. Followed my making a fire to create out charcoal. 12th Sept: Self- Portrait This week art class kids will be sketching themselves with their own charcoal they have made. it would be helpful if they can bring a recent picture of themselves to class. Note: Please can kids bring their own empty tin can in week 1. |
We have been running our Friday afternoon Kids Art block for several years and have introduced our young artists to various mediums, techniques and different artists.
