Tuesday 14th August 10.00am - 2.30pm
Archaeological Dig, Beach Walk and Clay pots in association with Fife Young Archaeology Club.
Bring a packed lunch as lunch is not provided.
These brand new, exciting workshops will transport children back in time (over 2,500 years, in fact) to the Bronze Age.
Mark Seaborne, Archaeologist, will introduce the kids to the era before digging for 'finds' (including animal bones and pottery) in boxes which are provided as part of the workshop.
Then off we will go on a short beack walk to search for pottery and to collect shells and sea glass, before venturing back to the studio to hand build pieces of 'beaker ware' - a traditional clay building method from the Bronze age period. Our beach finds will be used to decorate the pots.
£22 per person.
Please bring packed lunch and change of footwear.
