Leather journals -
Create a hand-bound leather or pleather journal in this fun and informal evening workshop at Honey Pot Cafe.
First you'll create your pages using a range of upcycled and patterned papers, including - maps, wallpaper samples, envelopes and handmade paper.
Then learn how to bind your pages together using a decorative 3-hole exposed stitch - a really durable binding that is both functional and decorative!
To finish off your book you'll then have chance to experiment with a range of fastening techniques and add a handy page marker.
Everyone will leave the workshop with a unique A6 sized finished book, which makes for an great notebook, personal journal or gift for someone special.
French link stitching
Create a decorative French Link Stitch notebook in this bite sized bookbinding workshop, incorporating decorative papers and a ribbon fastening. A great binding technique that results in a stylish book, which makes for a great notebook, diary or photo album.
Tea & coffee will be provided to help fuel your creativity as well as take away instructions so you can make more books at home. Bookbinding starter kits will be available to buy on the night for £5 (cash).
No previous bookbinding experience required.
